HIDDEN GEM IN THE HEART OF RAHOVEC VALLEY
The Winery owns no less than 2200 hectares of land of which more than 600 hectares are actively used for the vineyards. The wine is stored in oak barrels in one of the largest underground wooden cellars in Europe with a capacity of 5 million litres.
Climatic conditions, soil quality, geographical location at an altitude of 350-500m, tradition and passion of the people of this region for viticulture and wine grapes have contributed to the production of wine with a unique taste and high quality.
OVER 2000 YEARS OF WINEMAKING CULTURE
Archeological evidence shows that viticulture near Rahovec and in Kosovo dates back to ancient Illyrian times, 2000 year ago. The Romans relished our wines just as much as we do. The rolling hills, the amount of sunshine and the climate combine to create the perfect atmosphere for the best wines. We combine these traditional winemaking methods with the latest technological developments to bring you consistently high-quality wine for your enjoyment.
SOCIAL IMPORTANCE
The vineyards employ 500 people full-time and another 500 seasonal workers at harvest time.
A share of the profits are reinvested in order to provide more and more people with jobs and the security to build a healthy life for themselves and their families. Many families are proud of this and pass on the knowledge to their children who, when they are 18 years or older, also have the opportunity to take over the work of their father or mother within a financially stable company with a heart for people, animals, nature and product. Our sustainable farming practices also keep the environment healthy for our community.

The Vineyard was founded in 1953, along with the re-emergence of the grape and wine industry in the region. Since privatisation in 2006, we have been able to invest in technological and sustainable development, heightening the quality of our output and providing thousands of jobs for the people of Kosovo. Profits are reinvested in order to grow further and provide more and more people with the security to build a healthy life for themselves and their families.
